Participation Terms and Conditions

The registration process includes a commitment for the Participant or parent/legal guardian of the Participant to agree to the following terms and conditions:

COVID SPECIAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

I will ensure that I am following the relevant National, State and/or Territory laws, regulations and guidelines relating to the COVID-19 pandemic.

I will not participate in the event if, in the past 14 days:

    1. I have undergone a COVID-19 test;

    2. I have come into contact with a person who has been diagnosed with COVID-19;

    3. I have come into contact with someone who is a close contact of a person who has been diagnosed with COVID-19;

    4. I have experienced a temperature, flu-like symptoms, repertory symptoms, a sore/dry throat or a persistent cough or any other symptom that is associated with COVID-19.

RISK/WAIVER

I understand that walking and/or running is a potentially dangerous activity and serious accidents can happen which may result in the walker or runner suffering injury to person and/or property or loss of life.

I acknowledge that participation in the activity could result in physical harm, as it is a recreational activity that involves some risk and that I, by participating in the activity, am exposed to the risk of injury including the risks of but not limited to, physical exertion, bodily injury, strains, factures, paralysis, death,

I acknowledge that participation in the event in a public place where people are present also increases your risk of exposure to and contraction of communicable disease(s), including but not limited to COVID-19. 

I acknowledge that the above is not an exhaustive list of all risks inherent in my participation in the activity and that there may be risks that are not known or reasonably foreseeable at this time. 

I release WestCare, its employees, agents, contractors, directors and officers from any claim (and waive any such claim) that I have or may have against WestCare arising out of my participation in this activity. I further agree to indemnify and keep indemnified WestCare in relation to any claim that may be made against WestCare because of my participation in the activity.

I agree that I am participating in this activity at my own risk.

I acknowledge that the activity is not a compulsory activity and as such, there is no obligation on me to participate.

I can confirm that any medical conditions, which could affect my safety, have been discussed prior to participating with my doctor.

(Please Note: All children aged between 0-15 years participating in the Event must be accompanied during the walk by an adult guardian.)

I certify that I am 18 years or older, or that I am the parent/legal guardian of the participant who is under the age of 18 years, and I have read this document and fully understand it. As a parent or legal guardian, I agree to these Terms and Conditions for and on behalf of the participant.
