Steps Of Hope 2018
Each year people of all ages from across the community come together to walk the Nepean River to raise money for the important work done by local charity WestCare.
This year 100% of funds raised through Steps of Hope will support WestCare’s new ‘Fresh Start Go!’ Domestic Violence Support program.
'Fresh Start Go!' is already making a huge difference in the lives of many women and children who have been effected by severe and horrific domestic violence.
There have already been over 300 'Safe Sleeps' in the crisis refuge accommodation units, where guests are provided with food and meals, clothing vouchers, personal items, toys to keep for all children and ongoing support to help move them on towards a brighter future.
** DONATE HERE **
Steps Of Hope 2018 was held on Saturday 28th April.
Donations are still being received - Please Donate here.
On The Day
Heading off from the Start/Finish Zone among the mulberry trees at Tench Reserve - you'll walk to the Penrith Weir and then back through to the M4 Bridge before returning to the Start/Finish Zone. You choose how many laps you do!
The Start/Finish Zone is a great spot (even if you’re not walking on the day) to relax or to recover - with activities, food and refreshments.
Couldn't Make It?
If you couldn't make it to the day - then why not Donate (all WestCare donations are Tax-Deductible) or support a walker who did so that together we can help to make a real difference to some very sad family situations in our city!
